Robin’s Corner

Greetings!

Have you ever made a decision and then later though, “Oh, that was kind of hasty.” Or, “I should’ve waited before I did or said that.” We often feel the need to handle things right away, or quickly be able to cross it off of our “to do” list. I am not trying to encourage procrastination, but making hasty decisions doesn’t leave room for God to reveal His plan. God is working on us, our situation, and others and their situations at all times. Before someone or something is ready to be an effective part of your situation, they or it has be to ready. God is working. Working on you, working on others, working on all the situations, so that He will put them together when He knows they are ready, according to His timeline.

To rush into something, because you think it is the best thing to do, or because you can’t see any other alternative is actually an action of unfaithfulness. Have faith in knowing that God cares about you, He cares about your circumstances, He has a plan. Have faith to wait on the Lord. Have faith that He will reveal that plan to you at the proper time. “Be still and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10)

Here’s what’s happening at Our Savior:

TONIGHT, join us for our Wednesday Night Christian Education Classes from 7:30 – 8:45 p.m. There are classes for everyone! Here is a list:

Pastor’s Information / Inquiry Class – is a class that is taught by Pastor Stelzer and is designed for anyone who is considering membership in our congregation, or anyone who just wants to learn the basics of the Bible and what the Lutheran church teaches. You will not only be taught truths that all Bible-believing Christians hold in common, but also the Biblical basis for teachings that are distinctively Lutheran, especially referring to the Sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion, but including other basics and any other matter you would like.
